Reaction to Fire Testing and CE Certification of Construction Chemical Products

Objectives

Understand the requirements of EN 1504, EN 15651,….) for construction chemical products within the framework of the CPR (Construction Products Regulation)
Learn the reaction to fire test methods and classification criteria defined in EN 13501-1
Understand the procedures for CE marking, including factory production control (FPC), testing, reporting, and certification.

Overview of the Construction Products Regulation (CPR) and its scope for thermal insulation products
EN 1504-2 to EN 1504-9 product standards: obligations of manufacturers, assessment and verification of constancy of performance (AVCP), and system 2+, System 3 requirements
Reaction to fire classification according to EN 13501-1: classes (A1 to F) and their meaning
Test methods involved
Test sample preparation and testing conditions
Test report content and requirements
Factory Production Control (FPC): audits and surveillance according to product standard
CE marking and declaration of performance (DoP) preparation
